We visited a Pentecostal church on this day.  (Yes, I’m reporting it late.)

VERY friendly people. I don’t think I’ve ever met a friendlier group of churchpeople.

Small church – about 50 or so.

The usual worship team were away and so ‘Praise and Worship’ was led by two people in front, and the Sound Guy played the songs on the sound system. I think the songs were recorded from a concert.  The congregation sang along with the music. The lyrics were displayed on the screen coupled with visual enhancements.

The collection was taken up, some announcements and a prayer (punctuated every phrase or so with the words ‘Father God’), children shuffled off to Sunday School, and then the message.

The sermon was on ‘Hearing God’s voice’.  The pastor tied the sermon with selected Bible verses and some personal anecdotes.

No communion.  I don’t know how often this church has Communion, but obviously it is not weekly. It has been months since I’ve had Communion.

The people are very friendly.

About yewnique

I am a Malaysian-born woman who is married to an Australian and now live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a mother to four children. I home school. I like reading, writing, and cooking -- not necessarily in that order. I care about grammar and spelling, but am nonchalant about the Oxford Comma. I try to follow Christ's teachings.
