Movie Review: The Kite Runner

Beautiful.  Haunting.  Transcends language barriers. This 2008  movie about friendship, betrayal, and the chance for redemption is truly the work of an international team – American producers, Swiss-German director, filmed in China with Afghani, Egyptian, Iranian actors (among others) – and can be summed up in two lines from the movie, which coincidentally add up to seventeen syllables, hence the haiku.

“There is a way to
be good again.” “For you, a
thousand times over.”

About yewnique

I am a Malaysian-born woman who is married to an Australian and now live in Melbourne, Australia. I am a mother to four children. I home school. I like reading, writing, and cooking -- not necessarily in that order. I care about grammar and spelling, but am nonchalant about the Oxford Comma. I try to follow Christ's teachings.
