Dumb and Dumbfounded

A Christian company is offering an online Information Technology course.

In their FAQ section, they say:

What kind of guarantees are you offering?

A Christ-focused learning environment free of humanistic and evolutionary worldviews.

How do they plan to go about guaranteeing a ‘Christ-focused’ learning environment for an IT course?  Is the course lathered with Bible verses?

I wonder what IT courses have  ‘humanistic and evolutionary worldviews’.  Really, I am curious.  Does that mean they can’t talk about how computer technology has evolved over the years?  Do they emphasise the role of Creation in IT?

Would ITonRamp benefit a young woman or mom?

Absolutely! We think many moms will like our Home Track course that will teach them foundational computer information for home use.

For years our hearts have gone out to single moms struggling to provide for their families. We are hopeful that ITonRamp will facilitate single mothers in their ability to provide for their families. IT work often receives higher wages than other jobs. At the least, single moms will able to earn extra income working from home by reloading computers and removing malware and viruses from them.

Most classes a single mom might consider enrolling in to improve her income are either expensive or take her away from home. ITonRamp is cost effective (we may have some scholarships available), and allows Mom to learn from home.

Young women will also find ITonRamp courses useful. It can be a struggle to productively stay busy as young women wait on the Lord for a marriage partner. It is not our goal to provide a career as such for young women, but to help them be productive with their time as the Lord Jesus directs. IT work can give excellent opportunities to earn significant self-employed income in a safe, non-corporate environment and have skills that will facilitate a future marriage, especially if the future husband is self-employed.

Mustn’t let the wimmenfolk out of the house.  (Lest I be misunderstood, I think working from home is great and wonderful for single parents.)

ITonRamp, if taken up by men or single moms is great, but let ITonRamp be accursed if they are seen as trying to provide a career for young women!  Still, ITonRamp recognises how difficult it must be for a young woman to wait at home for a suitable, daddy-approved, self-employed male to come and ask to court her.  So, this course will allow the young woman to spend her time productively as well as provide her with skills that she can use as a helpmeet to her future husband.

Remind me again what era we are living in?
