Home Improvement Project – Wallpaper Removal and Painting

While there are some wonderful things to come from the ’70s, surely wallpaper cannot be one of them.  One of the things that stuck out to me when I saw this house for the first time was the wallpaper. ‘That has to go,’ I thought to myself.

Seven years later (almost to the day), the time had come.

My pathetic attempts at trying to remove it using the hot-water-and-fabric-softener method as shown on YouTube. Not as easy as the video suggests.

Finally caved and called in a professional.  When he said that he’s had many years’ experience removing wallpaper but that he’s never encountered wallpaper like ours, I felt SO validated!  It was stuck on really well!
