Caribbean Gardens and Market
It’s school holidays, and since the younger two are going to start their home school year on Monday, I decided to take them all to the Caribbean Gardens and Market for one last Fun Day.
I am VERY bummed that after loading yesterday’s photo for the blogpost, I forgot to put my camera back in my bag! So, no pictures.
The Caribbean Gardens and Market is only twenty minutes’ drive from home, but we had never visited before today!
I learned from the website that it is open on Sundays, plus on Wednesdays and Fridays during school holidays.
We got there early to take advantage of the free train ride (only from 9am to 11am). After the train ride, we went on the Jungle Cruise and the Chair Lift.
Miss Seven tried the Jumping Castle.
We all had a go with the Beach Jeeps. Small circuit, but very fun nonetheless.
Had a turn on a Horse-and-Wagon ride operated by a man trying to raise funds for cancer research.
After lunch (packed from home), the younger three tried Bungee Trampoline. Yes, after lunch. Yes, it was fine. No, they did not get sick.
Then we tried our hand at a nine-hole mini golf course. None of us had done it before and it doesn’t look like we are any good at it. At all.
Ice-creams all round after that golfing adventure.
Many of the market stalls were already packed up or in the process of packing up by the time we headed there.
Very, very bummed I forgot my camera. We’ll probably go again and remember to take pictures, but it just won’t be the same.
