UPDATE (February 26, 2014): Jonathan Park is now owned by Creation Works of California. They plan to repackage all current albums of Jonathan Park and put them back into circulation. They also plan to start working on the next volume.

This section reviews the Jonathan Park Audio Adventure Series, originally created by the Institute for Creation Research, but now produced by Vision Forum Ministries. Generally speaking, I have found the series pretty good on drama and adventure (although a bit over-the-top at times), but rather poor on scientific content and/or information. The series is produced from an  anti-evolution pro-young-Earth Creation perspective and in order to make their case,  many of the ideas presented are not in line with mainstream science.  In addition to only presenting evidence in a way that supports a literal interpretation of Genesis, the series also misrepresents evolutionary views and ideas to make them easier to refute and discredit.

Most (if not all) of the episodes contain a combination of logical fallacies, false information and anti-evolution propaganda tied into a storyline where the Christians are the good guys and the evolutionists are the bad guys.  Bible verses are used – sometimes bewilderingly – to support the ideas presented.  The listener is often left scratching his/her head wondering how the verses fit what is being said.

The purpose of this section is to examine each episode, pointing out the specific errors found therein, and giving the correct facts where possible.  Many of the claims mentioned in the series have been answered and can be found on various websites. In particular, TalksOrigins is a great website that answers ‘problems’ Creationists have with evolution; a list of answers to many Creationist Claims can be found here.

    Hello, I must say I have enjoyed what you have writen thus far, and commend you for trying to get the truth about this dreadful and child corrupting show out to the public… though I found something I thought you would be interested in, a video hosted on youtube by a channel claiming to be “thevisionforum”.
